Rates & Dates

We always try and keep our rates as competitive as possible and because we know our customers have serious cost-of-living issues like everybody else, we have managed to keep our 2026 rates pegged at pretty much the 2018 rates.

VisitScotland inspectors and agencies always tell us we should be charging a lot more, given the quality we offer. Almost every week in school holidays and almost every weekend outside of school holidays has been taken since we opened in 2005. We haven’t needed to negotiate below our normal rates to achieve that. But if you are flexible on date, or enquiring just a few weeks before, or if you want midweek accommodation, you can always ask us for a discount.

Shortbreak prices are for 2 nights over a weekend or 3 nights midweek are usually approximately 75% of full week prices. School holiday and half term weeks are all charged at shoulder season rate.
Discounts may be applied when occupancy is well below maximum levels, especially on Garden Cottage. Each of the three big houses at Ormidale has an individual outdoor Hot tub seating 7 guests; we charge £100 per weekend or £175 per week for the use of these. This charge includes the carbon off-setting of the electricity, and VAT.
On booking, there is a 30% deposit payable by bank transfer. The rental balance is payable two months ahead of arrival.  A refundable good housekeeping deposit is always payable just on or ahead of entry.
