| There are two beautiful big large slate-roofed stone barns in
the grounds, about 100 yards from the main house. Our intention
is to restore these and convert them into two separate holiday houses
which will sleep 16 and 20 respectively. Each will have its own
private garden and barbecue area, and all thee houses will then
share the swimming pool. Work generally takes place on a Monday
to Friday basis, which ensures minimal disruption to guests in the
main house. We hope the two barns will be available for Summer 2008.

The Mill House will accommodate up to 12 adults, and up to 20 guests
in total, in a stylish and spacious setting with rooms on four levels.
The ground floor works in a semi-open-plan style, with the kitchen
leading out into the high ceilinged dining hall which itself gives
through two large doors into a drawing room with big fire place.
There are french doors from the dining hall into the courtyard.
There is also a separate, enclosed, TV room on the ground floor.
An additional South-facing sitting room on the mezzanine floor gives
access through french doors onto a terrace and the private rear
garden. As well as a quadruple bunk room, we have six double / twin
rooms, two of which have "en suite style" bunk rooms designed
for small children. There are three bathrooms, a separate downstairs
loo / cloakroom, and a sauna. Click here to view the floor plans. or
The Old Barn will accommodate up to 16 guests in total, with our
maximum adult occupancy set at 12. The six double / twin rooms are
complemented by two independently accessed bunk rooms for children.
One large bedroom and a bathroom are on the ground floor to provide
access for wheelchair users. Two other bathrooms, and the remaining
bedrooms occupy the first floor. The living accommodation comprises
a kitchen / dining room - with glass doors out to the cobbled courtyard
terrace - with an arch through into a large sitting room with open
fire. There is a separate TV room. Click here to view the floor
plans. or
Occupants of The Old Barn share exclusive access to a cottage containing
two games rooms - one with table tennis, one with a snooker table
and darts - with the guests in The Mill House at the same time.
The swimming pool is a facility shared between all of the three
houses, with a proportion of the day privately allocated to each
house-hold, and the remainder free to all-comers.
