Bedroom Accommodation
All but two of our 13 bedrooms have either a basin or an en suite
bathroom. Altogether, we have eight bathrooms, plus two separate
loos downstairs - and a sauna. We have arranged for a majority of
the rooms to be flexible, by buying extra-comfortable, sprung single
divan beds that can be locked together to form super-kingsize doubles.
Two of these have the spare “flipout” divan beds stored
underneath. Seven of our rooms are therefore either twins, doubles,
or sometimes triples. You tell us how to make them up before you
arrive. The quadruple bunk room is a winner with kids.
We’ve gone to town with luxurious deep-fill goose and feather
down duvets and pillows, and have sourced gorgeous bed-linen from
the Scottish Linen Company. There’s summer weight synthetic
alternatives for the allergic. Most of our rooms feature antique
mahogany chests of drawers, wardrobes, and mirrors.

Cottage Accommodation
The Cottage is only 15 yards from the main house. It is never let
separately but is available to parties booking the main house as
spill-over or staff accommodation. We are strict about allowing
only 24 adults in the main house and keeping the maximum capacity
at 30, but if your party is bigger, then an additional 7 people
can be accommodated in the bungalow. The cottage provides a more
basic standard of accommodation, comprising its own kitchen and
bathroom with wheelchair-accessible shower, plus two bedrooms and
a nice large sitting room / dining room with a wood burning stove,
into which we’ve put a double sofa bed. One bedroom is a twin
/ superking / triple, and the other has two bunks. Maximum adult
capacity in the cottage is 5.
